Mini Swim Collection - Capri

Capri is a recent swimwear pitch for an elevated consumer market. The inspiration comes from the leisure of vacation living. I asked myself when I feel the most luxurious. That is on vacation, maybe lounging in a hotel robe, or having a drink by the pool. Capri is a collection for the customer who wants to feel classy and luxurious. Much of my inspiration in general comes from lingerie. The goal of Capri is to make the customer feel like they are in the most luxurious intimates, but can still wear them out in the most fashionable way.

Capstone Collection - Solandis

Solandis is a Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Its inspiration comes from the Divine Feminine energy and its manifestations. The Divine Feminine energy is the feminine counterpart of the divine power that connects us to Earth. It exists within us all as our nurturing, intuitive, and delicate side. The collection represents the cultivation of self-love and growth.

Experimental Design & Marginalized Audience Group Collection - Lucent

The purpose of Lucent is to create an opportunity for people with male bodies to express themselves more accurately with clothing tailored to their measurements. The inspiration comes from the androgynous and abstract aspects of nature. To create this collection, we used techniques from Tomoko Nakamichi’s Pattern Magic, a series of books outlining advanced processes for sculpting complex three-dimensional clothing. The Waterfall Dress is a baby-doll curved pinafore dress, which brings a classically feminine silhouette to the male market.

Wearable/Sustainable Technology Final Project - BioCore

To learn about the stages of product development, the class was assigned to create a startup fashion company that includes wearable and/or sustainable technology. BioCore is based off of the existing SCOBY company, BioCouture.

Hacked Garment Project

The assignment was to take an old piece of clothing and turn it into something completely different. My Hacked Garment Project is a denim corset up-cycled from an old, torn-up pair of jeans.

Disability Group Design Project

For the Disability Group Design Project, my partner and I were assigned a client with a disability to create a look for. Our client Pete is quadriplegic, so our design had to be accessible with that in consideration. We wanted to create something comfortable and easy for Pete. We also wanted to create something more upscale and business casual for his conferences or activism. Our design is curated to Pete’s aesthetic. It is neutral and clean with accessibility and warmth. He gets cold easily, has trouble with buttons and zippers, and needs to be able to store items such as his phone, wallet, and keys when he is out in public. Our designs address these concerns.
